DESCRIPTION:Gold Rush Days\, Artisans’ Fair\, and Library Fine Arts Show\nThe annual Gold Rush Days and Artisans’ Fair is back\, celebrating Wickenburg’s past as a ranching and gold mining center with a full weekend of tradition in historic downtown Wickenburg. This beloved winter event marks its 77th anniversary and will draw tens of thousands of visitors during three days of fun-filled activities. \n“Gold Rush Days” are recognized by the Library of Congress as one of America’s Living Legacies\, and the Artisans’ Fair remains one of the most anticipated parts of the weekend for both visitors and artists. \nAs artist Dan Abernathy says\, “The Artisans’ Fair during Gold Rush Days is nothing short of fantastic.” \nAlongside the outdoor fair\, the weekend also features the Library Fine Arts Show\, a juried fine art exhibit that gives visitors a second way to experience the talent of local and regional artists in a curated indoor setting. \n\nArtisans’ Fair at Stone Park\nThe Artisans’ Fair is a juried event with over 150 artists creating unique\, finely crafted\, and original works of art. It is sponsored by the Wickenburg Art Club\, a local nonprofit organization that supports art education\, exhibitions\, and community outreach. The Artisans’ Fair is the Art Club’s largest annual fundraiser. \nVendor amenities\n\nArtisans enjoy thoughtful support throughout the weekend\, including:\nBest of Booth cash prizes\nBooth sitting for artisan relief\nComplimentary Friday morning continental breakfast\nHelp with load-in and load-out on a first come\, first served basis (vendors must be able to set up and take down their booth)\nTown maps and event information\n156 spaces at competitive prices\nCitizens’ Patrol security from 7:00 pm Thursday through 7:00 am Sunday\nPR marketing and advertising in town and surrounding areas\nWi-Fi throughout the grounds (may be limited in some areas)\nElectricity is not available\nDesignated vendor and trailer parking within walking distance to Stone Park\nThree-day Town of Wickenburg Sellers Permit included in your space fee\n\nArtisan application and payment details\n\nA $35 application fee must be submitted with your application\nThe application fee is non-refundable\nIf accepted\, the space fee is payable by credit card or PayPal upon acceptance of the Invitation to Participate\nPlease do not select “Accept Later” – spaces cannot be held without payment in full and we cannot notify you if another artisan requests the same space\nSpaces are limited to two (2) per artisan\nExceptions may be considered on an individual basis\n\n\nLibrary Fine Arts Show\nThe Library Fine Arts Show is a juried exhibit that runs during the Gold Rush Days weekend and offers visitors a chance to view fine art in an indoor gallery-style setting. DESCRIPTION:Annual West of Center Exhibition\nThe exhibit and art sale on view at the museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center\, located at 17 N Tegner Street in Wickenburg (Corner of W. Wickenburg Way and Tegner at the light in downtown Wickenburg.) \nLocal artists and members of the Wickenburg Art Club will be exhibiting artworks in many media\, including sculpture\, oil and acrylic painting\, pastel\, photography and digital art\, wood carving and wood turning\, drawing and mixed media. Sales are encouraged! \nThe Wickenburg Art Club and the Desert Caballeros Western Museum\, cornerstones of Wickenburg’s art community since the 1960’s\, collaborate for the Annual West of Center show\, a community-curated exhibition and sale. Each summer\, the museum hosts the Wickenburg Art Club which curates a selection of artwork by its talented members. \nThis collaboration\, now lasting for a decade\, was an outgrowth of the community’s interest in promoting art and business in Wickenburg’s historic downtown area and has been a success ever since. \nThe exhibit features the work of over 30 local artists adept in many different art media\, such as\, painting\, ceramics\, photography\, wood-working\, fiber art\, jewelry\, and more. There is something for every art lover to enjoy. Artists also  give free demonstrations during the run of the show. \nThe public is invited to attend a Preview Reception to view the artwork and vote for their favorite piece of art for the People’s Choice award\, enjoy refreshments\, and meet the artists at this special celebration. \nImportant Dates: \nDeadline for Applications – Thursday June 19 \nAcceptance notification to artists – Thursday June 26 \nArtists Deliver Artwork to WAC – Tuesday July 22. DESCRIPTION:Paint Wickenburg\nSaturday March 8th\, 2025\nPaint Wickenburg is a collaboration between the Desert Caballeros Western Museum & the Wickenburg Art Center.  Our goal is to promote The Arts in Wickenburg through the artistic portrayal of our Historic Downtown. \n \nThis open-air event will take place in Downtown Wickenburg and is open to all artists\, working in 2D media including oil\, acrylic\, watercolor\, pencil\, charcoal\, ink and mixed media.  This artistic celebration is limited to works created onsite that portray the historic Wickenburg cityscape\, which can include any of its unique downtown features\, architecture\, statuary or green spaces. \nRegistration is $ 25.00 – Registration and payment can be made on the Wickenburg Art Center Website or in person at the Art Center. \nFor questions\, more information or for assistance registering\, please contact Corey Garman at VicePresident@WickenburgArtClub.Org\n \nAll 2D media including oil\, acrylic\, watercolor\, pencil\, charcoal and mixed-media may be used.  The subject is Historic Downtown Wickenburg and artists are required to paint within a roughly two-block area to be bordered   Painting locations are assigned on a first-come\, first-serve basis.  A limited number of easels will be available to borrow from the Museum at the morning check-in\, on a first-come basis.  Artists are required to bring all other supplies they will need. \nAll artwork must be priced at $ 150 or more.   The limit is 2 paintings per artist and artwork must not exceed 36” square\, framed\, maximum size.  Artwork must be framed and ready to hang. (No sawtooth hangars-picture wire only.) \nEasel-sitters will be on hand to assist with breaks and the approximately 2 block\, downtown area is within easy walking distance of bathroom and rest areas as well as many great places to buy lunch and snacks. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Timeline: Saturday March 8th\n8-9am artists register at the Desert Caballeros Museum Learning Center\, (french easels will be for loan if needed) \n9am – 3pm  !! Paint !! \n3-3:30pm paintings hung in Learning Center\, (paintings must be framed and ready to hang\, no saw-tooth hangars\, gallery wrapped canvas with no staples and finished edges are allowed) \n3:30-5pm reception and sales \nAfter the reception artists may choose to take unsold works home or to the Wickenburg Art Center where they will be on display through April 8th. \nPercentage split on art sales: 70% to artist\, 15% to WAC\, 15% to DCWM \n$150 minimum price for art sales \nPieces must be ready to hang\, (no saw-tooth hangars\, gallery wrapped canvas with no staples and finished edges allowed) \n36″ square framed maximum size \nLimit to two paintings per artist \nArtists reminded to bring lunch\, water and any other necessities
